Had a bit going on recently with the retirement of Possum Magic, a virus going through one of the stables most of our horses are in effecting Miles n Miles and Possum Born having some muscle soreness but everything is starting to work itself out! Our other horse the Vinno Rosso has finished his breaking in and things will start to get a bit more exciting for those owners in him!

MILES N MILES

Miles got knocked about by the virus hence his recent poor performance so he’s having 3 weeks in the paddock to recover and then will be back for a some races before going for his longer spell, this is just a freshen up to get him right again.

POSSUM BORN

Possum Born was sore through her back end (Patrick will explain this better in the video) but we got the horse massage person to do some work on her and it seems to have done the trick! Obviously horses can get sore just like we do and sometimes a good massage can loosen things up and hopefully that’s going to hold her in good stead to put in a good run next start. I think drawing a good barrier is important for her so fingers crossed there!

VINNO ROSSO GELDING

Obviously the updates on our fella have been a few and fare between but before they’re broken in there’s not really much going on, but he’s now finished the breaking in process at John Blackers southern stable and is back in the paddock for his well earned rest after his first bit of training! Once he’s freshened up, he will have another 2 weeks of educational training, this is standard just to go over what they’ve taught him during breaking in to refresh the horses memory making sure he’s ready to begin his 1st racing prep! John reported that all went well during breaking in, they were very happy with him. He’s continued to grow and mature and below are some new pics of him enjoying his freshen up in the paddock. Once he starts his 2 weeks of re-education before his racing prep begins John will let me know. The next exciting thing that will happen will likely be us getting to put names forward to vote on and name him! So perhaps get thinking of some names we want to put forward!

NEW YEARLINGS

With the retirement of Possum Magic we have some owners perhaps looking to get into affordable ownership, or if this interests you, we just bought 3 yearlings, I’ll have all the info on them to post up soon, one is a full sister to the horse we had that unfortunately passed away during breaking in Eade My Dust who was a full to Chosen Eagle and half to Vokes. I’ll get the breeding details of the other two soon and if you are interested in any of them or I’m going to do a package where you can get % in all 3 for a discount – stay tuned.
