Miles n Miles ran at Devonport last Friday, the comments were that he didn’t handle the synthetic surface and wouldn’t let down like he did on the grass at Launceston, he was ridden by the same jockey so she has a pretty good idea of what he felt like underneath her during both runs. So we are most likely looking at a 1400m TasBred maiden back on the grass for him next.

Possum Born and Possum Magic head to Launceston tomorrow night with Lizzie Annells to ride both, she wanted the Possum Born ride and we also think that Possum Born is a great chance to win tomorrow night in race 5 stepping up to 1200m which is her preferred distance. From barrier 10 we will push forward with likely leader Tricki Mikki who was in our race last start drawn outside us, we’ll hopefully end up 1 out 1 back. This will allow us hopefully a clear run at the top of the straight whereas last start we just were held up slightly which ultimately cost us with Born going down by half a length.

Possum Magic is in race 1 and it’s obvious from her trials she’s a little horse shy, so drawing barrier 6 is good, if she can settle somewhere midfield with cover we think she will take a lot of improvement from this run, becoming used to race conditions.
