Our Needs Further gelding named Miles n Miles has now fully recovered from his shin soreness and the 7 week spell in the paddock was exactly what he needed! He came back into work about 5 weeks ago and began slow work, building his fitness base back up! He handled that well and this morning he had his first bit of fast work at the track and over the coming weeks as we build his fast work up he will be getting ready to jump out and trial, get his ticket and then we’ll look for a TasBred bonus maiden to kick off his prep!
Trainer Patrick Dargan has provided some video updates but I’ll get out to the track to film some of his work soon and then also film his jump outs and his trials are officially filmed where I’ll be able to just share the link to those. See Patrick’s thoughts through the videos below.
POSSUM BORN SHARES
We have our next horse ready, seeing as Miles n Miles, our Vinno Rosso Gelding and also our Alpine Eagle filly that the AFL Boys are owners in are full, we thought it would be good to get a tried horse over from Adelaide to Tasmania. Buying into yearlings or young horses can be a bit of a waiting game, there’s the excitement that they could be the next champion but I personally prefer the challenge of finding a tried horse from the mainland who I think can come to Tasmania and win races straight away. There’s less waiting time, they’re ready to go and you basically know what you’re getting. Possum Born has 2 wins and 9 placings and a rating of 58 meaning she would be eligible for BM60, BM62 or a class 2 here which she simply would be classes above our level of horses in those races. She’s very consistent rarely runs a bad race and likes to lead up on pace which is exactly what you want at our tracks Launceston and Devonport. In my opinion she could possibly come here and win 2-3 of her first 4 races meaning we would make a nice amount of prize money quickly. But the best part is – WE ARE GIVING AWAY shares in her for free, all you have to be is a VIP member ($50 per month) and that covers all her training fees and any other cost related to her. If you want more than 1%, it’s simply an extra $50 per month per 1%. I’ll be personally taking a large share as will the trainer so if you are interested get into contact with us asap because these free shares won’t last long. My goal from the beginning of creating The Owners Circle was to make horse ownership accessible and affordable to everyone, you won’t find a better/more affordable way to get into horse ownership than this. You get full ownership perks and your % of prize money she wins.
